Haiti Relief Efforts – Donations Top $10 Million
I usually try to stay on topic on this blog educating you with information pertaining to internet marketing and making money online but today I feel that it’s necessary to spread the word about the recent disaster in Haiti caused by a 7.0 earthquake. In fact, you may not even realize it but they are still being hit with magnitude 4-5 quakes which are very destructive themselves.
Usually, it can be a pain for people to donate. After all there’s hundreds of companies we’ve never heard of that come out of the wood work to ask for donations and who knows if they’re on the up and up. One company we can all trust is the American Red Cross Organization. Even still, in the past you had to mail in your donation or call in to give credit card details over the phone.
We’re in a new age of technology and over the last several years, mobile texting donations are quickly rising. You can send in a one time $10 donation by simply texting “Haiti” (without the quotes) to 90999
The charge will be simply applied to your credit card bill. Ten dollars may not seem like much but it goes a long way in paying for gas, food, and shelter. Tens of thousands of people are counting on YOU and I to help in their time of need. Take a moment to send a text message.
The Red Cross is already over $10 million dollars in donations and we can get them to an even higher record to ensure the largest number of people possible are safe. We’re not just talking about men and women but also children of all ages that have been affected by this catastrophe.
